Detailed Itinerary
To be part of our 3 days Murchison Falls National Park you need to have either arrived in the country the day before or arriving in the country in the morning to start the trip. Arranging your accommodation a day before the trip and after your trip, will come at an extra cost.
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park – Stop over at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Immediately after your breakfast, our driver/guide will pick you up from your hotel at exactly 7:00am and brief you about the 3 days Murchison Falls National Park Uganda Safari. After this, you will embark on a 6-hour drive to Murchison Falls National Park.
On your way expect to see big banana plantations, large farms, piled fruits for sale on the streets, people roasting beef and chicken along the streets. It is a rewarding experience and memorable seeing these vendors bring their goods for sale right on your window. A few kilometers along the Mubende route, you will branch off to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to spot the black and white Rhinos which are among the Big five Animals as they roam freely in their natural habitat
In Uganda, Rhinos had fully got extinct due to the poaching in the 1980’s. Later in 2005, the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary was established with an intention of breeding Rhinos and then introduce them to Uganda’s National Parks.
After spotting Rhinos, you will then head to Masindi District to have lunch and then proceed to Murchison Falls National Park to check in to your lodge, have dinner and rest.

Day 2: Game drive, Boat cruise on River Nile and Hiking to the top of the Falls
You will need to wake up early and take your breakfast provided by your lodge. Right after, our guide/driver will transfer you to the wild for your first game drive along the delta of Lake Albert.
During this game drive, you will see the great savannah grassland, see a variety of animals such as warthogs, hyenas, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, elephants, topi, leopards, and several species of birds.
After this rewarding experience/activity, you will then head back to the hotel to have lunch and prepare yourself for an afternoon boat cruise along the Nile.
This makes the best part of your Safari as it involves spotting most of the wildlife in the park. While on the river for a boat cruise, you will have an opportunity to spot almost 200 species of birds including shoebill stork, black-headed lapwing, great blue turaco, dwarf king fisher, African black crake, malachite, blue spotted doves and many more.
Many animals are seen on the river shores drinking water and freshening up especially during sunny days. Among the animas you can spot while boat cruising are hippos, Nile crocodiles, monitor lizards, elephants and many others.
The boat will lead you to the bottom of the great Murchison where you will hike to the top. Life at the Murchison falls is so unique and enjoyable as you will see the beautiful vegetation and the beautiful scenic views around these great falls. You will then head back to the hotel, relax and get ready for dinner.

Day 3: Second Game drive – Transfer back to Kampala
Wake up early in the morning excited because this is another day to explore the Murchison on your Second game drive but before you embark on this activity, you will need to take breakfast.
After your breakfast you will head into the park for the game drive that takes only 5 hours starting from 7:00am-11:00am. You will check out of your lodge before you head into the wild for a game drive.
During this last activity, you will spot more of the animals and more bird species. At exactly 11pm, you will start on your 6-hour drive journey back to Kampala.
You will stop over at Masindi, have lunch and continue with your Journey to Kampala as you have a clear glimpse of the picturesque upcountry scenic views.
Arrive in Kampala in the evening at either at your lodge or straight to Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight. This marks the end of your 3 days Murchison Falls National Park.
